Job summary

A leading technology services provider in Stamford, Connecticut is seeking a qualified candidate for a Platform Engineer position. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud infrastructure and experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and DevOps practices. Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable cloud infrastructure, supporting deployment strategies, and developing CI/CD pipelines. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science, MIS, or related technical field of study.
• Minimum 8+ years of prior professional Platform Engineering experience.
• Excellent understanding of AWS services; including EKS, ECS, and related services.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes infrastructure and tooling.
• Experience with various CI/CD methodologies and container orchestration tools.
• Good understanding of networking concepts and OSI layers.
• Experience designing and implementing DevSecOps practices.
• Advanced knowledge in assessing, deploying, configuring, and operating AWS services using IaC tools.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Strong understanding of containers (e.g., Docker) and container orchestration via Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Git, Python, shell scripting, and Terraform.
• Thorough understanding of change management control and the software development lifecycle.
• Proven experience in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cloud-native infrastructure solutions.
• Design and operate Kubernetes infrastructure using emerging technologies.
• Champion the design and management of cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Support migration efforts to K8s.
• Build, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Support the design and implementation of business continuity plans.
• Conduct product evaluations and respond to mission-critical service issues.
• Partner with developers and internal stakeholders.
