Job summary

Wayve is seeking a Software Engineer for the Platform Integration team to bring up new vehicle programs and build reusable components for robust robot software on Linux-based automotive platforms.

You will work across embedded compute, sensors, and software services, using ROS2 and distributed architectures, with hands-on bench work, HiL tests, and real vehicles at hybrid in-person locations.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C++, Python, or Rust for production software.
• Experience with Linux-based robotics or automotive platforms.
• Knowledge of ROS2 and distributed-system integration.

Responsibilities

• Support software bring‑up on benches, HiL systems, and vehicles.
• Develop and maintain vehicle-facing software components and frameworks.
• Diagnose integration issues across software and hardware boundaries.
• Identify architectural improvements to improve reuse.
• Build diagnostics and tooling for robot software reliability.
• Produce documentation and runbooks for long-term supportability.
• Collaborate with hardware, safety, controls, calibration, and reliability teams.
