Job summary

PayPal is seeking a Senior Product Manager in Chicago to drive product strategy for a scalable payments platform. You will balance regulatory needs, customer requirements and profitability while aligning with cross‑functional stakeholders across product and technology teams.

This individual contributor role focuses on platform strategy, architectural roadmaps, and feature delivery across multiple business lines, offering a path to leadership and visibility in a high‑growth FinTech environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in FinTechs, specifically focused on financial services.
• 1-2 years of experience developing credit based lending solutions for consumers and/or businesses.
• 1 year experience working on a platform/back end system, supporting APIs, event streaming, and data warehousing.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to product strategy with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Implements the architectural roadmap balancing innovative design and technical implementation while considering regulatory requirements and time-to-market.
• Captures customer needs in product requirements to inform decision making.
• Monitors usability studies, research and market analysis to inform product success.
• Manages workstreams including analytics, customer discovery, market research and competitive analysis.
• Interfaces with product and technology leadership as needed to drive execution.
