Job summary

SpaceX in Bastrop, TX is seeking a Sr. Customer Integrity & Threat Detection Analyst to identify platform abuse risks and develop detection strategies for the Starlink service.

You will work on proactive risk assessment, cross-functional collaboration, and the deployment of mitigation techniques to safeguard users while upholding privacy. A background in global affairs or investigations with SQL/Python and OSINT is preferred, and you will be part of a team addressing high-stakes security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of professional experience in global affairs, intelligence, or investigations; OR 6+ years of professional experience in global affairs, intelligence, or investigations in lieu of a degree
• 4+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), geospatial tools (e.g., ArcGIS), and/or statistical software (e.g., R)
• 4+ years of experience investigating, mitigating, or dealing with illicit operators (e.g., fraud, abuse, cybersecurity, or other illicit activities)

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and assess platform integrity and abuse risks
• Develop technical detection and mitigation strategies
• React to investigate potential issues such as scams, fraud, and illicit goods/activities
• Partner with cross-functional teams and deepen our relationships with them
• Conduct periodic reviews to support legal and compliance obligations
• Execute with consideration for customer privacy, targeting activities of indisputable harm and avoiding overreach
