Visionist, Inc. in Laurel, MD seeks a Senior Software Engineer - Platform with TS/SCI clearance to design, deploy, and maintain enterprise cloud infrastructure on AWS/Kubernetes.

You will translate high-level goals into scalable platform solutions, mentor engineers, enforce security practices, and balance hands-on coding with leadership on a fast-paced prime contract. Join a mission-driven team delivering tools for defense and intelligence communities.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software development experience
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
• Experience with AWS services including EKS, Terraform, IAM, Route 53
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management
• Ability to translate high-level goals into platform solutions

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of the cloud infrastructure used by the organization's AI capabilities (AWS, Kubernetes)
• Translate high-level stakeholder goals into engineering outcomes and platform solutions
• Work within ambiguous problem spaces and define structured solutions the team can execute against
• Mentor engineers and grow development best practices, engineering standards, and technical governance for the team
• Establish and enforce security best practices for infrastructure systems and data, including certificate and identity management
