Job summary

Mintlify is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer in San Francisco to own critical systems from architecture through production, setting technical direction and raising the quality bar to help engineers build and operate software faster and more reliably.

You’ll lead the development of Mintlify’s platforms, architect and operate infrastructure and tooling, and drive migrations to multi-cloud deployments across regional and customer-managed environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep cloud infra, IaC, distributed systems, CI/CD, observability.
• Led infrastructure projects from architecture to production.
• Tradeoffs across reliability, velocity, performance, security, and cost.
• Strong product intuition and focus on developer experience.
• Comfort with both infrastructure and application code.
• Experience mentoring engineers and improving practices.
• Experience with AWS, MongoDB, Postgres, Redis, and Node.js.

Responsibilities

• Own critical platform systems: Architect and operate infrastructure, services, and tooling.
• Set direction for developer velocity: improve build, test, deploy and operate software.
• Scale the platform for what's next: evolve compute, databases, queues, caching, and edge systems.
• Drive operational excellence: observability, incident response, and automation while reducing on-call toil.
• Raise the engineering bar: review designs, establish standards, mentor engineers.
