Job summary

Mintlify in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to own the architecture and production systems that power our docs platform. You will set technical direction, raise the quality bar, and help engineers build and operate software faster and more reliably.

You’ll lead infrastructure projects end-to-end, drive observability and automation, mentor engineers, and collaborate across teams to balance reliability, velocity, and cost while supporting multi-cloud and edge deployments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep experience with cloud infrastructure, infrastructure as code, distributed systems, CI/CD, observability, and operating large-scale production software.
• Led critical infrastructure projects from architecture through production.
• Ability to balance reliability, velocity, performance, security, and cost.
• Strong product intuition and focus on developer experience created by the systems you build.

Responsibilities

• Own critical platform systems: Architect and operate the infrastructure, services, and tooling that Mintlify’s engineers and products depend on.
• Set the direction for developer velocity: Improve how the team builds, tests, deploys, and operates software, leading migrations to achieve it.
• Scale the platform for what's next: Evolve compute, databases, queues, caching, and edge systems with growth.
• Drive operational excellence: Improve observability, incident response, and automation while reducing on-call toil.
• Raise the engineering bar: Review designs, establish standards, mentor engineers, and enhance team effectiveness.
