Job summary

Nextech Group Limited in NYC seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to own the infrastructure and developer platform behind a rapidly scaling product.

This is a hands-on senior IC role where you’ll influence architecture, improve engineering velocity and own critical production infrastructure across AWS, Kubernetes and data services. The position demands high ownership, reliability and platform evolution in a fast-growing startup environment.

Qualifications

• Strong Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps or SRE background.
• Experience owning production infrastructure at scale.
• Deep knowledge of AWS and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong Kubernetes and containerisation experience.
• Experience building tooling that improves developer productivity.
• Understanding of distributed systems, networking and observability.
• Comfortable making architectural decisions and owning projects end-to-end.
• Experience within a start-up or high-growth environment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the production infrastructure and developer platform.
• Shape and influence architectural decisions for scalable systems.
• Improve velocity through tooling, automation and IaC practices.
• Manage AWS-based production environments, CI/CD pipelines and observability.
• Drive reliability, performance, and security across services and data stores.
• Collaborate with product teams to enable rapid, safe deployments.
