Autodesk is hiring software engineers to design and build the next generation of data platform capabilities—APIs, streaming, and automation that empower thousands of engineers and data practitioners across Autodesk.

You'll work with Go, Java, or Python to create scalable microservices, implement distributed systems, and improve CI/CD, observability, and cloud-native infrastructure, with ownership and on-call responsibilities as part of a high-impact team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems.
• Strong programming skills in Go, Java, or Python.
• Experience designing distributed systems or microservices architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Experience building and consuming APIs (REST, GraphQL, event-driven).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, containerization, and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Ownership mindset: you build it, you run it, you improve it.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable APIs and microservices (REST, GraphQL, event-driven).
• Build backend services using Go, Java, or Python.
• Develop full-stack capabilities when needed (React, micro-frontends).
• Architect distributed systems processing millions of records in batch and real-time pipelines.
• Build streaming and ingestion systems using Kafka and Flink.
• Develop control-plane services for orchestration, workflow management, and metadata-driven automation.
• Design self-service abstractions for storage, compute, and workflow provisioning.
• Define SLAs/SLIs and drive observability across platform services.
