Certinia seeks a Leads Platform Engineer to drive the technical direction of its cloud platform. You will oversee sub-domains, codify standards and lead architectural improvements across Kubernetes-based systems on AWS, with cost governance and security at the forefront.

You will collaborate with engineers, product and security teams, mentor staff, own incident response, and guide on-call readiness. Remote UK-based role with broad platform impact across the organisation.

Qualifikationen

• Experience designing and operating large-scale production platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure across AWS or other major clouds.
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and multi-account environments.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD at scale and quality gates.
• Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/HTTP/DNS/TLS/mTLS and service identity.

Aufgaben

• Define the platform's technical direction across sub-domains and initiatives.
• Codify team standards, conventions and best practices.
• Lead improvements in architecture, performance, reliability and security.
• Diagnose platform issues from teams or monitoring and resolve them.
• Coordinate cross-team work on large initiatives spanning multiple groups.
• Mentor senior engineers and contribute to recruitment and development.
• Own incident response and disaster-recovery processes when required.
