Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to own observability, automation, and reliability for Kubernetes clusters in a cloud-centric environment. You will lead infrastructure lifecycle, scale workloads, and reduce spend, collaborating with engineering teams across architecture, deployment, and operations.

You will apply IaC and GitOps practices using Argo CD, Helm, Kustomize, and Terraform, while improving performance, security, and developer experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, SRE, or related disciplines.
• Production Kubernetes experience including day-two operations, troubleshooting, upgrades and reliability management.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Hands-on with Kubernetes autoscaling and workload scheduling (Karpenter, Cluster Autoscaler).
• Proficiency with IaC tools: Terraform, Crossplane, Pulumi, or equivalent.
• Observability techs/frameworks: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, eBPF.
• Familiarity with GitOps and tools like Argo CD, Kargo.
• Experience deploying Kubernetes apps via Kustomize and Helm.
• Strong Linux knowledge and network fundamentals.
• Programming in Go, Python, or Ruby beyond scripting.
• Comfort using AI to augment engineering workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and collaboration skills.
• Nice-to-have: multi-region deployments on cloud providers.
• Nice-to-have knowledge of Kubernetes internals and ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Own observability, logging, and alerting for Kubernetes clusters and critical workloads.
• Build and maintain automation for the full Kubernetes lifecycle (provisioning, scaling, upgrades).
• Lead platform cost-optimization: right-sizing, scheduling improvements, removing waste.
• Partner with engineering to shape infrastructure decisions across lifecycle.
• Proactively identify reliability bottlenecks and implement durable solutions.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents.
• Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, blameless postmortems.
• Improve internal developer/data platforms focusing on stability, security, performance, and experience.
• Advance platform engineering with IaC, GitOps, and cloud-native technologies.
