Job summary

Verano Holdings is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer (DevOps & Release) to keep our platform reachable, fast, secure, and deployable. You will own production access, the edge, CI/CD and the release process, and build automation for safe shipping across teams.

You will work hands-on on a Scrum team, write and review code, and participate in sprint commitments. Remote work is possible from states Verano operates in.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps, platform or SRE work on production web applications.
• Cloudflare at production depth, including Workers you have written and deployed.
• GitHub Actions and release strategy for a team that ships weekly: tagging, hotfixes, rollback.
• Secrets management, credential rotation and least-privilege access.
• Observability with Sentry and an APM such as New Relic or Datadog.
• Tested automation in Python or TypeScript.
• Scrum team experience, daily use of AI coding tools, and clear writing: runbooks and incident notes a teammate can follow at 2 a.m.

Responsibilities

• Own production access, edge, CI/CD and the release process, and build automation to ship safely.
• The edge, as code: Cloudflare configuration managed in Git and deployed through CI.
• Weekly releases, hotfixes and rollbacks with traceability and post-ship verification.
• CI/CD pipelines, required checks and branch protection, automated gates.
• Monitor incidents and outages; respond around the clock when needed; write blameless reviews.
• Improve origin and edge performance with caching and Next.js strategies.
• Triage advisories and ship upgrades; automate tooling for delivery processes.
• Stand up infrastructure for new brand sites and handle contractor reviews.
