Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters across on-prem and hybrid environments. You will build resilient CI/CD pipelines, implement infrastructure as code, and partner with security and development teams to ensure platform reliability for mission-critical workloads.

The role emphasizes working with geographically distributed teams, strong scripting skills, and experience with OpenShift in production.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with active TS/SCI CI poly clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years in platform engineering, DevOps, or related field.
• Production experience with Red Hat OpenShift.
• Experience with OpenShift production environments: lifecycle, upgrades, Operators, node pools, ingress, registries.
• Automation using Ansible, Terraform, scripting, or GitOps.
• Experience with CI/CD tools: Argo CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI.
• Monitoring, incident response, capacity management, and runbook development.
• Ability to work with geographically distributed teams; strong written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to work in SCIF with some on-call or after-hours onsite support.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters across on-premise and hybrid environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support containerized app delivery.
• Implement infrastructure as code and automate platform tooling.
• Monitor performance, availability, and security; respond to incidents.
• Develop automation and self-service capabilities for platform users.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to improve reliability.
• Ensure compliance with security and governance standards.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to cross-functional teams.
