Job summary

Tower Research Capital is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to help build, operate, and improve software delivery and developer infrastructure used by engineering teams working on large-scale C++ and Python applications.

You will collaborate across Platform, Release Engineering, and quants to design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, artifact management, and self-service tooling, while focusing on performance, reliability, and security in a production-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on engineering experience in software delivery, platform, CI/CD, DevOps, SRE, or developer productivity systems.
• Strong Linux systems knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with large C++ codebases and build systems (CMake, Ninja, Bazel, Buck2, or similar).
• Proficiency in Python packaging and environment management tools (pip, conda, uv, pixi, etc.).
• Experience building and operating CI/CD platforms, artifact management, and secret handling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance tools that boost developer productivity and platform reliability.
• Collaborate with global Platform, Infrastructure, and Release Engineering teams to align regional and global standards.
• Maintain and improve build/release infrastructure for large-scale C++ and Python apps including CI/CD, artifact workflows, and self-service tooling.
• Develop scalable CI/CD pipelines for build, test, artifact promotion, deployment, and release workflows.
• Implement infrastructure automation and configuration management for platform and developer infra services.
• Create internal tools and self-service platforms to reduce operational toil and improve productivity.
• Use containers and orchestration to ensure reproducible builds and deployment workflows.
• Improve observability with centralized logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, and alerts.
• Troubleshoot and optimize build/CD/infra systems focusing on performance, reliability, and security.
• Participate in incident response and continuous improvement for platform-owned services.
• Evaluate and propose improvements to build/release/developer platforms.
