Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Kafka Platform Engineer with 10+ years in distributed systems, event streaming, and platform engineering to architect, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade streaming platforms powering real-time data processing.

The role focuses on Kafka internals, security, observability, and cloud-native infrastructure, with mentoring responsibilities across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in distributed systems, platform or infrastructure engineering.
• 5+ years hands-on Apache Kafka or Confluent Platform experience.
• Expertise in Kafka internals, security, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and manage Kafka/Confluent Platform environments.
• Design cluster topology, replication, capacity planning, and tuning.
• Implement enterprise security (SASL, SSL/mTLS, RBAC).
• Design Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, Streams, ksqlDB pipelines.
• Develop IaC for Kafka infrastructure using Terraform/Ansible.
• HA/DR, cross-region replication, backups and failover.
• Monitor and observe with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK.
• Collaborate with teams and mentor engineers on Kafka.
