Job summary

Onto Innovation is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the GitHub platform for a Windows-centric product suite. You will design runners, images, workflows, and release plumbing, enabling product teams to build, test, sign, and ship efficiently.

The role emphasizes Copilot-augmented workflows, cross-cutting responsibilities, and a focus on fast, reliable CI/CD with a Windows-first stack. Expect on-site work in Wilmington, MA and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong ownership of CI/CD at scale using GitHub Actions with custom runners.
• Experience with Windows and C#/.NET and C++ on Windows.
• Proficient in Python, PowerShell, Bash and YAML scripting.
• Solid Windows Server and Linux administration; containerized workloads.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain shared GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines and reusable workflows.
• Own NuGet packaging, internal feeds, and CI restore performance.
• Design and operate the runner fleet (Windows-first, Linux) with custom images.
• Handle packaging, signing (AuthentiCode), and release plumbing.
• Build test integration surfaces in CI and contribute to tooling in Python/PowerShell/Bash.
