Job summary

BAM Technologies, LLC is seeking a hands-on Senior Platform Engineer to own and harden a key portion of our infrastructure, ensuring it remains compliant with federal requirements while enabling rapid delivery for government and commercial customers.

You will lead Kubernetes/EKS operations on AWS GovCloud, maintain Terraform modules, implement policy-as-code, and drive security-by-design across identities, networking, and secrets.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Platform/Cloud Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, or SRE with hands-on ownership of production environments.
• Experience administering GitHub Enterprise at an organizational level.
• Expert-level Kubernetes/EKS and expert-level Terraform.
• Strong AWS experience and cloud security fundamentals.
• Direct experience supporting GCC High, GovCloud, or other regulated environments.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance if needed.
• Must be US citizen

Responsibilities

• Administer and harden GitHub Enterprise Server baseline with policies, SSO/SCIM, auditing, branch protections, secrets scanning, and access control.
• Own AWS GovCloud (US) infrastructure supporting regulated services and M365 GCC High integrations (EKS/Kubernetes).
• Maintain and extend Terraform modules and build new ones as the environment evolves.
• Apply security-by-design across identity, networking, encryption, and secrets management.
• Validate and remediate the environment against federal requirements and IL4+ baseline (NIST 800-53, CMMC, FedRAMP).
• Maintain policy-as-code guardrails to enforce compliance across Terraform-managed infra.
• Monitor, patch, and improve reliability through automation and best practices.
• Respond to and remediate audit findings and vulnerability scans promptly.
