Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend or systems engineering experience with distributed systems.
• Experience in financial systems, data infrastructure, or scalable backend platforms.
• Strong knowledge of system design, consistency, reliability, and failure modes.
• Proficient in Python or a similar backend language.
• Experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design core financial systems across trading, ledgering, billing, and portfolio accounting.
• Develop transaction processing, reconciliation, and portfolio state management workflows.
• Build and scale real-time and batch data pipelines.
• Architect APIs and backend services for internal and external users.
• Improve reliability, observability, resilience, and fault tolerance across critical systems.
• Contribute to distributed systems architecture with event-driven microservices and streaming.
• Partner with machine learning teams for production systems integration.
