Job summary

Vizient, Inc. in Irving, Texas, is seeking a Databricks Platform Engineer to design, build, and enhance the enterprise Databricks platform supporting analytics, data products, ML, and AI initiatives across the organization.

You will collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Engineering, Data Engineering, Product Management, and Data Science teams to develop reusable platform services, automation frameworks, engineering standards, and self‑service capabilities that improve platform

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience required.
• 2+ years hands-on Databricks experience required.
• Azure cloud and cloud-native architectures preferred.
• IaC with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines required.
• Strong knowledge of Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Apache Spark and lakehouse concepts.
• Experience with MLflow, MLOps and AI platform tech preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience with regulated enterprise data platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance enterprise Databricks platform capabilities for analytics, data products, ML, and AI workloads.
• Implement platform architectures, engineering standards, and reusable patterns.
• Build and maintain IaC solutions, CI/CD pipelines, and platform automation.
• Create templates and deployment patterns for self-service platform adoption.
• Optimize platform scalability, performance, reliability, and cost across clouds.
• Collaborate with EA, Cloud Eng, Data Eng, Product Mgmt, and Data Science teams.
• Support platform services such as MLflow, Model Registry, Feature Store, Vector Search.
• Evaluate new Databricks features and cloud technologies via assessments and POCs.
• Recommend platform enhancements and engineering best practices.
