Vizient is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to oversee software/data engineering teams, translating business requirements into scalable data solutions. You will drive SDLC practices, enforce engineering standards, and ensure platform integration with enterprise standards.

The role emphasizes mentoring engineers, collaborating with product owners, and delivering high-quality data products on schedule using Azure Databricks, SQL, Python, and related technologies.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of experience.
• Strong expertise in data engineering, SQL, ETL, and modern data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct the technical execution of software/data engineering teams, ensuring delivery using best practices and modern technologies.
• Partner with product owners and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical data solutions.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards including coding, testing, documentation, and release controls.
• Provide architecture alignment, platform integration, and adherence to organizational tech standards.
• Lead SDLC and agile practices to improve predictability and throughput; resolve blockers and dependencies.
• Drive AI/ML-enabled solutions by collaborating with analytics teams to operationalize models.
• Mentor engineers through 1:1 coaching and structured upskilling plans.
