Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a platform engineering professional to design and build CMDB/DCIM systems and related automation in a production environment. You will own end-to-end projects, from concept through deployment and production readiness, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes scalable, fault-tolerant architectures, data migrations, and integration with vendors and internal systems. Strong Python/Go skills and IaC experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience building production systems.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs, data models, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Redis).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and networking basics.

Responsibilities

• Design and build a next-generation CMDB and DCIM platforms for assets, topology, and configurations.
• Develop asset lifecycle management from receiving to decommissioning.
• Build monitoring, observability, and intelligent alarming with IT telemetry.
• Create self-service portals and automation for region bootstrap and day-2 operations.
• Automate workflows and build orchestration across incident, change, and problem management.
• Develop digital twin visualizations and dashboards with data-team partners.
• Integrate internal platforms with vendors and third-party systems.
• Champion infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and observability-first design.
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Design fault-tolerant, high-performance systems handling thousands of QPS.
