Job summary

RTI International in the United States seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and automate enterprise platform services with a focus on Kubernetes, infrastructure automation, and secure, scalable delivery of research and business applications.

You will develop cloud-native infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and platform automation while collaborating across teams to modernize environments and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 12+ years of relevant experience; or advanced degrees with adjusted experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, automate, and support enterprise platform services for scalable, secure delivery of research and applications.
• Develop and maintain cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and automation.
• Collaborate to modernize environments, improve platform reliability, and implement security controls.
• Lead multi-tenant platform initiatives and support onboarding, lifecycle management, and modernization.
• Define standards, reference architectures, procedures, and documentation for platform engineering.
• Troubleshoot across infrastructure, platform, networking, security, and applications; escalate as needed.
• Support architecture, scope, schedule, and budget planning with internal clients.
• Balance stability with innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
