Job summary

Crusoe in Bellevue, WA, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Platform Engineering team. You will design and ship modular microservices on top of our cloud infrastructure, turning stakeholder requirements into platform capabilities that drive feature delivery and revenue.

You will work on fleet provisioning, lifecycle management, and capacity planning using Go/Python/Java, with Postgres and Kafka, and ensure reliability and observability across services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production backend or platform services.
• Proficient in at least one backend language: Go, Python, Java, or C#.
• Experience designing microservices and APIs (gRPC/REST) in distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and event-driven systems like Kafka.
• Led projects end-to-end and mentored peers to elevate engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate microservices that automate fleet provisioning, lifecycle, and capacity management.
• Extend platform services with features that accelerate customer-facing delivery.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into modular, production-grade designs and ship them.
• Work on Google Cloud Platform and managed Kubernetes with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure reliability and observability of the services you ship.
