Green Dot Corporation is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Platform Team in a structured hybrid role based in Los Angeles. You will develop scalable, secure backend services and APIs supporting platform operations, with emphasis on release engineering and DevOps pipelines.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in software engineering, strong C#, and experience with AWS/Azure, Terraform, and automated testing across APIs and data processing.

Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience.
Proficiency in RESTful API design, OAuth2, and microservices architecture.
Strong C# expertise.
Experience with AWS/AKS and Terraform.

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain automated testing (unit, integration, and smoke tests) to improve delivery confidence.
Embed automated testing and quality gates into CI/CD workflows to support reliable releases.
Design and develop backend services and APIs to support platform operations, including release engineering and pipelines.
Collaborate with QA, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure deployment and performance.
Operate in an AI driven SDLC environment and familiarity with AI code assistants like GitHub Copilot.
Monitor and alert to ensure SLA adherence and rapid incident response.
