Job summary

Green Dot Corporation is seeking a Lead ETL Engineer to join a team delivering a large-scale cloud hosted data platform. You will lead ETL development, data warehousing, and governance initiatives with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalable architectures.

The role requires hands-on experience with data warehouses, ETL pipelines, and modern testing frameworks. This is a structured hybrid position based in Los Angeles, with on-site and remote work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or related field preferred.
• 8+ years of overall software development experience with data warehouse apps and 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
• 3+ years of cloud-based data warehouse experience (AWS Redshift preferred) and ETL tools (Informatica Cloud preferred).
• 3+ years of Python development experience and strong OLAP data modeling knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain data stores and data warehouses including data lakes and metadata repositories.
• Design and implement high-performance data movement pipelines using ETL tools with batch and real-time streams.
• Develop scalable ingestion frameworks for structured and semi-structured data; implement settlement and reconciliation processes.
• Create data architecture and data flow diagrams; translate requirements into data models.
• Ensure data warehouse features are incorporated to optimize performance and security.
• Deliver proofs of concept and lead testing and deployment in CI/CD pipelines.
