Job summary

Green Dot Corporation is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our BaaS team, supporting partner onboarding and platform enhancements. You will build scalable, secure systems enabling embedded financial services across our partner ecosystem.

This role requires 5 years of software engineering experience, strong cloud and API skills, and a track record in security and DevOps. We offer a structured hybrid work model with 3 in-office days and flexible remote days, plus competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 5 years of software engineering experience with at least 1 year in technical leadership.
• Proven track record of secure, standards-compliant code across platforms.
• Fluent in C#, .NET, SQL and cloud platforms (Azure native services) with container tech.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design, OAuth2 and OpenAPI specifications.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Service Bus, Event Hubs) and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with observability dashboards (Datadog, Grafana).
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with revenue-critical applications.
• Security best practices in financial services and compliance (PCI DSS, SOC 2).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop APIs and microservices for BaaS onboarding and partner integration.
• Collaborate with product managers and architects to define technical requirements.
• Support engineering excellence via code reviews, CI/CD, testing, and observability.
• Ensure SLA compliance and contribute to monitoring and alerting systems.
• Contribute to incident response and root cause analysis to improve reliability.
• Draft architecture and design documentation for decision making.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for feasibility and adoption paths.
• Refactor and extend the codebase to fix defects and add features.
• Develop configurable systems to enable change without heavy customization.
