Job summary

Defense Unicorns is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to build and operate persistent environments across the UDS platform for demos, validation, and customer showcases. You will own self-service, scalable infrastructure and drive integration across Fleet Management, Edge Management, and OS layers.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, and UX teams to reflect real user scenarios, enabling faster feedback loops and higher product quality, while supporting multiple environments for

Qualifications

• Experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or infra-focused software.
• Experience building shared or multi-tenant environments.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, GitOps, deployment pipelines.
• Comfort across system boundaries (application, infrastructure, networking).
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix systems.
• Strong communication across engineering, product, and UX.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate always-on environments for demos and internal use.
• Build feature branch / preview environments to support UX feedback.
• Enable internal dogfooding with long-running deployments of products.
• Integrate core system components across Fleet Management, Edge, OS, and services.
• Create shared, reproducible infrastructure to reduce local setups.
• Support self-service demo and trial environments for stakeholders.
• Improve reliability by enabling real-world usage and validation.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and UX to reflect real user scenarios.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable platform environments for development and demos.
