Job summary

Oracle in Austin, TX seeks an experienced software engineer to own Compute/Imaging platform components, focusing on scalability, resilience, and operability. You will drive debugging, performance optimization, and multi-tenant design, collaborating across teams to deliver robust services.

You will design, test, and implement features, conduct reviews, and support incident response with automation using IaC.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of Java/Scala and AI concepts including prompt engineering.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and multi-tenant architectures.
• Ability to design, troubleshoot, and optimize distributed services.

Responsibilities

• Own a bounded Compute/Imaging platform component and evolve its contracts.
• Perform deep debugging across a limited-service graph and remediation plans.
• Implement resilience and capacity patterns and document adoption guidance.
• Design software, perform testing, and optimize for scalability and operability.
• Lead code reviews, debugging, and API versioning strategies.
• Collaborate across teams to align on architecture and customer needs.
• Contribute to monitoring, runbooks, on-call rotations, and incident response.
