Job summary

GAINSCO is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to lead Infrastructure as Code across Azure and VMware, modernize DevOps pipelines, and set CI/CD standards. You will partner with IT Operations, software delivery, and QA to raise platform capabilities and deployment readiness.

The role requires 8+ years in IT infrastructure, strong Azure and hybrid infra experience, and advanced PowerShell and automation skills. Hybrid work, strong benefits, and a focus on reliability are provided.

Qualifications

• 8+ years IT infrastructure/platform engineering/DevOps experience.
• 5+ years Windows Server and IIS architecture and admin experience.
• 3+ years production Infrastructure as Code experience.
• 3+ years Azure DevOps pipeline experience (YAML & Classic-to-YAML).
• 3+ years designing CI/CD solutions and release pipelines.
• Experience with enterprise observability platforms.
• Strong Azure and hybrid infrastructure background.
• Advanced scripting and automation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of Infrastructure as Code across Azure and VMware.
• Modernize Azure DevOps pipelines and automate deployments.
• Establish and promote CI/CD standards across the tech organization.
• Design observability, config management, and release practices.
• Collaborate with IT Operations, Software Development, and QA teams.
• Provide senior technical guidance across platform engineering initiatives.
• Support production deployments and participate in after-hours/on-call support.
