Job summary

Corient is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to architect and operate a secure, scalable Azure-based data platform. You will build reusable frameworks for ingestion, orchestration, and workflows while owning infrastructure and identity integration.

Lead cross-team initiatives and mentor engineers to enable enterprise analytics and data initiatives. The role requires 8+ years in platform/infrastructure engineering, strong Azure experience, and expertise in Terraform, CI/CD, and

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong experience building and operating cloud-native platforms on Azure (compute, storage, networking).
• Hands-on expertise with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or equivalent) and CI/CD automation.
• Experience designing highly available, scalable, and resilient systems with defined SLAs/SLOs.
• Experience with system integration patterns (event-driven architectures, APIs, streaming systems).
• Strong understanding of identity, access control, secure platform design (e.g., Entra ID).
• Experience implementing observability (monitoring, logging, alerting) for platforms.
• Proven ability to lead cross-team platform initiatives and define engineering standards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder alignment skills across engineering & data org.

Responsibilities

• Architect and operate the enterprise data platform on Azure, including storage, compute, and streaming layers.
• Develop reusable platform frameworks for ingestion, orchestration, and workflow execution.
• Own infrastructure engineering for data systems including compute, storage, and identity integration.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and build CI/CD pipelines.
• Design platform observability, monitoring, and governance frameworks.
• Lead system integration patterns including event-driven and batch architectures.
• Support M&A integration through scalable platform onboarding.
• Partner with analytics and data teams to enable platform usage.
• Provide architectural leadership and mentor engineers.
