Upscale, Inc. is seeking a Senior Staff Platform Engineer in Santa Clara, CA, to own end-to-end platform software development for BSP, drivers, OpenBMC, and diagnostics. The role bridges hardware and software across x86 and ARM, delivering production-grade infrastructure for AI workloads.

The ideal candidate combines deep embedded systems expertise with systems-level thinking, and has 10+ years in platform and diagnostic firmware development, with proficiency in C/C++, Python, and Linux tooling.

Formación

• 10+ years in platform or diagnostic embedded firmware development.
• Strong analysis and hands-on troubleshooting on complex HW/SW systems.
• Experience with Linux-based platform software, drivers, and services.

Responsabilidades

• Architect and develop Linux BSP and platform drivers for SONiC/FBOSS/OpenBMC platforms.
• Design embedded diagnostic firmware for hardware bring-up and validation.
• Develop ASIC-level tests and platform-level diagnostic suites; integrate into CI.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware/software, validation and program teams for production-quality outcomes.
• Build automated test infrastructure in Python and Bash for orchestration and log parsing.
