Job summary

ECP is building a platform organization to close the reliability gap between core services and agent workflows. This role is one of the first engineers in the new platform team, reporting to the VP of Platform Engineering.

You will write code that underpins AI-enabled features and ensure seamless integration with both legacy and modern components. We use Node and TypeScript, migrate from a ColdFusion base, and deploy on AWS with SQL Server and PostgreSQL.

Qualifications

• Experience building shared platform services that other teams depend on and ownership after delivery.
• In-depth knowledge of domain-driven design and event-driven architectures and their trade-offs.
• Experience building production AI features on data that is messy and governed.
• Experience carrying pager for critical systems.
• Ability to work across multiple languages/paradigms and adapt quickly.

Responsibilities

• Build the surface area for ECP Intelligence agents, including retrieval and context layers and model serving paths.
• Own and design shared components and ensure clean interfaces between legacy platform and new services.
• Advance the messaging backbone with contract testing and multi-tenant support.
• Contribute to shaping the platform architecture and drive reliability improvements.
