Job summary

When Insurance Agency, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our AI-powered benefits‑transition platform. You will own features from concept to production across the HR-facing tools and the post‑employment portal, collaborating with stakeholders to democratize health insurance decisions during tough life events.

You’ll work with CTO to shape the technical foundation, leverage Claude Code for rapid delivery, and apply a compassionate approach to users facing job transitions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and planning product features as a full-stack engineer.
• Strong command of stack: React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Node.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration — comfortable with non-technical stakeholders.
• Product sense: ability to define scope and tradeoffs beyond a spec.
• Hands‑on experience using AI development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf).
• Working understanding of building with LLMs — agents, skills, prompts, and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Ship features across the stack end to end.
• Partner with stakeholders—member services and operations—to turn problems into shipped solutions.
• Own product thinking: scope work, weigh tradeoffs, decide what to build.
• Build with AI: integrate LLM-driven experiences, agents, and skills into the platform.
• Move fast with modern tooling and prototype with Claude Code.
• Keep the codebase healthy with clean, testable code and reviews.
• Make work observable by instrumenting usage and user flows.
• Communicate requirements clearly and support agile day‑to‑day delivery.
