Job summary

GEICO is seeking a Sr. Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of the AI Agent Platform core systems. You will own architecture, API design, and rollout, ensuring reliability and scalability in production.

This role emphasizes platform work across agent harness, RAG, insight engines, and evaluation tooling, with hands‑on coding and technical leadership across multiple teams. You’ll mentor engineers, drive incident response, and collaborate with product managers and data

Qualifications

10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Tech‑lead experience: owned the design and delivery of significant systems involving multiple engineers or teams.
Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.

Responsibilities

Lead the technical design and delivery of major platform components end to end.
Drive design reviews, set engineering standards, and make tradeoffs for the platform.
Mentor engineers and raise the engineering bar across the team.
Partner with product managers, data scientists, architects, and consuming teams to turn workflow needs into generalized platform capabilities.
Build and operate agent harness, RAG platform, and related components at enterprise scale.
