Job summary

Storm2 is representing a Series A FinTech client hiring for a senior backend/platform/infrastructure engineer. You will own production systems at scale, focusing on reliability and performance across distributed services and real-time data pipelines.

You'll work with AWS, Kubernetes, and data infrastructure, contributing to a payment/fintech stack. Equity and bonus are offered alongside base compensation in a fast-growing, high-load environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building backend, platform or infrastructure systems.
• Strong experience operating production systems at scale.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems and reliability engineering.
• Proficiency with AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, PostgreSQL or similar.
• Strong coding skills in Python, Go or TypeScript.

The Company

Storm2's client is a Series A FinTech operating at the intersection of financial services and AI. They've raised significant funding from top-tier investors and are using that capital to build the infrastructure, platforms and products that will underpin the next phase of the company's growth.

The Role

This isn't a DevOps role and it isn't a pure backend role.

They're looking for engineers who have owned production systems at scale and know what it means to be responsible when things break. The team is particularly interested in people from trading, payments, wealthtech, platform engineering, data infrastructure, cloud infrastructure or AI infrastructure backgrounds who have built reliable distributed systems under real production load.
