Job summary

CareValidate in United States is seeking a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer with ~6+ years of experience to take complete 0-to-1 ownership of our cloud infrastructure. You will architect, build, and scale production-ready environments from scratch, focusing on reliability, security, and developer productivity.

You will automate end-to-end workflows using Terraform, manage GCP-based workloads (AWS background acceptable), and build CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles.
• Deep, hands-on Terraform for full infrastructure automation.
• Strong background with GCP (preferred) or AWS.
• Direct experience managing Kubernetes (GKE/EKS) and Docker in production.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash.
• Proven ability to drive projects independently from concept to production.
• High comfort with AI-assisted tooling to accelerate scripting and tooling.

Responsibilities

• 0-to-1 Ownership: Architect, build, and maintain scalable, production cloud infrastructure from scratch with single-point ownership.
• Infrastructure-as-Code: Automate provisioning strictly using modular and reusable Terraform.
• Cloud Workload Management: Manage, scale, and optimise cloud infra on GCP (AWS background acceptable).
• Containers and Orchestration: Design, deploy, and manage production Kubernetes clusters (GKE/EKS).
• CI/CD Pipelines: Build and streamline deployment pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Observability and SRE: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting stacks; lead incident response and RCA.
• Security and Optimisation: Oversee IAM, secrets, and zero-trust concepts; optimise cloud spend.
• AI Productivity Integration: Leverage AI tools to automate scripts and scale engineering efficiency.
