Job summary

Ampd Energy in the United States is building Enernet, the cloud platform behind our fleet, device monitoring, alarms, scheduling, reporting, and the mobile app technicians use on site. Our fleet is growing, and this role owns the engineering that keeps the platform fast and reliable as load expands.

You will own the data pipeline from AWS IoT Core and Kafka into TimescaleDB, evolve the GraphQL contract for web and mobile clients, cut latency and costs, and drive safe, scalable deployments with

Qualifications

• Backend & Streaming: 5–10 years building and operating production backend systems.
• Data at Scale: Kafka partitioning, consumer groups, rebalancing, and time-series db skills.
• BFF & API design: GraphQL and REST for web and mobile clients.
• Live Migration: Migrated a live system with parallel writes, shadow validation, and rollback.
• Stack & Cloud: TypeScript/Node.js (NestJS) and AWS in production with Terraform/IaC.
• Go: Go experience is a plus; pipeline judgement matters more than language.
• Documentation: Write clear technical documentation for teams.

Responsibilities

• Pipeline Stability at Scale: Stabilising telemetry path with latency targets and observability.
• API evolution: Extend GraphQL contract to support new features without regressing latency.
• Production Health: Senior voice in incident response and reducing support load.
• Cross-Functional Delivery: Collaborate with firmware, service, and commercial teams.
