Nubank is seeking a Staff Software Engineer – Lending Foundations to lead the architectural vision for lending products across various markets, including Brazil and the US.

You will design and develop shared infrastructure, mentor engineers, and partner with product leadership. Ideal candidates have extensive experience in complex systems and event-oriented architectures.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a senior / staff-level engineer designing complex systems.
• Deep experience with event-oriented architectures and shared infrastructures.
• Strong background in at least one functional or JVM-based stack.
• Demonstrated ability to drive alignment on architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the platform architecture for lending products.
• Build core services and integration patterns for lending teams.
• Drive alignment on technical choices across squads and stakeholders.
• Apply and refine event-driven patterns across the platform.
• Work closely with Global Lending to translate business goals.
• Mentor senior engineers and raise the engineering bar.
