Job summary

Charles Schwab seeks a Senior Investment Management Operations & Distribution Platform Architect to define target-state architecture and lead multi-year modernization across middle and back office, and sales platforms. You will partner with business leaders, data teams, and product managers to deliver scalable, secure investment operations solutions.

The role emphasizes cloud-native design, integration with CRM and data platforms, and a strong focus on governance, risk, and performance.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software engineering, solution/enterprise architecture.
• Experience in Asset Management Ops, Sales & Marketing tech is preferred.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale platform modernization.
• Hands-on leadership with Agile, product-centric orgs.
• Strong Java/.NET/Python and cloud-native delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Define target-state architecture and multi-year roadmaps for Investment Operations & Distribution platforms.
• Lead governance, design reviews, and platform modernization initiatives.
• Drive service ownership, integration patterns, and reusable platform capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership across APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
• Mentor engineers and architects, promote CI/CD, security-by-design, and observability.
