Job summary

ByLabs in Seattle is seeking a Platform Architect to own version engineering and module governance for a modular financial cloud platform. You will define the version set model, enforce reproducible builds, and manage a live dependency graph across 2000+ services.

Lead hermetic build environments, content-addressable storage, and SLSA provenance; shape governance with CODEOWNERS and multi-site deployment strategies; drive tests and risk assessments across country regulations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in large-scale distributed systems / platform infrastructure.
• Expert in build systems and dependency management at scale (Bazel, Buck, Pants, NX).
• Experience with reproducible build engineering and artifact provenance (SLSA).
• Strong governance of semantic versioning across large service fleets.

Responsibilities

• Design the version set model and enforce pinned module combinations.
• Architect reproducible build pipelines with hermetic environments.
• Maintain a live dependency graph across 2000+ services.
• Define monorepo governance, CODEOWNERS, and module boundaries.
• Implement change impact analysis and selective test execution.
• Develop GitOps-driven multi-site deployment and four-layer testing framework.
