Job summary

Temporal is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead the Builder Platform, setting the multi-year technical direction for agents, workflows, and AI infrastructure. You will shape governance, drive cross-team architecture, and own developer tooling strategy to improve productivity.

Qualifications

Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to set technical direction across multiple teams.
Experience delivering major platform initiatives and driving adoption across an organization.
Proficiency in Go, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or Java with deep expertise in at least one domain.

Responsibilities

Set a multi-year technical vision for the Builder Platform across multiple domains.
Lead architecture and evolution of the Agent Platform and governance mechanisms.
Define AI infrastructure, governance, and cost controls with measurable SLAs.
Collaborate with Security, Legal, IT, and product teams to align strategy.
Own Dev Infra strategy including repositories, access, and reusable workflows.
Develop senior leaders and mentor engineers while guiding cross-team execution.
