Job summary

Krasan Consulting Services is seeking an experienced Senior Platform Architect with deep expertise in Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES), MMIS modernization, cloud architecture, and enterprise integration.

The ideal candidate will bridge complex technical requirements with public-sector business objectives, lead design and governance of MES platforms on Azure, Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365, and drive modernization while ensuring HIPAA, NIST, CMS compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture and system integration.
• Experience with MES modules and legacy MMIS modernization.

• Knowledge of HIPAA, CMS MES Module Outcomes, CMS certification requirements, and public-sector data security standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern end-to-end MES platform architectures using Azure, Dynamics 365, and Microsoft 365.
• Lead legacy MMIS modernization into modular, cloud-native services.
• Ensure data integrity, system continuity, scalability, and interoperability during modernization.
• Analyze, document, and optimize Medicaid business processes using BPMN/UML.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the SDLC.
• Drive cloud modernization, CI/CD, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, NIST, CMS, and public-sector security requirements.
• Develop architecture roadmaps and translate complex technical concepts into business value and mission impact.
• Collaborate with business users, technical teams, architects, and executive stakeholders.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Platform Architect with strong expertise in Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES), MMIS modernization, cloud architecture, and enterprise integration.

The ideal candidate will have experience working for or on behalf of a State Medicaid agency and be comfortable bridging complex technical requirements with business objectives in a public-sector environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and govern end-to-end MES platform architectures using Azure, Dynamics 365, and Microsoft 365.
• Lead legacy MMIS modernization into modular, cloud-native services.
• Ensure data integrity, system continuity, scalability, and interoperability during modernization.
• Analyze, document, and optimize Medicaid business processes using BPMN/UML.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related STEM field from an accredited university.
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture and system integration.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with MES Modules and legacy MMIS modernization.
• Experience working for or on behalf of a State Medicaid agency.
• Strong business process re-engineering experience using Visio, Lucidchart, ARIS, or similar tools.
• Deep knowledge of Azure, Dynamics 365, and Microsoft 365.
• Strong understanding of legacy IBM z/OS, COBOL, and Telon technologies.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, CMS MES Module Outcomes, CMS certification requirements, and public-sector data security standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong emotional intelligence, conflict-management, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration, equity, and inclusion across project teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related STEM field.
• Certifications such as:
• TOGAF
• SAFe Architect
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• Experience with public-sector modernization and regulatory/compliance-driven programs.
• Familiarity with Dynamics 365, Oracle Fusion, or Salesforce.
• Experience with AI/ML, GitHub Copilot Enterprise, data analytics, or process mining.
