Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development with hands-on responsibility.
• Experience building production backend, full-stack, or platform software.
• Experience with microservices, API-driven, and distributed systems.
• Experience with containerized applications, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Ability to independently design and deliver moderately complex software components.
• Experience troubleshooting distributed services in development, integration, or production environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop containerized microservices and platform components.
• Develop event-driven services using messaging technologies and async processing.
• Build services interacting with relational databases, time-series stores, caching, and storage.
• Ensure service-to-service communication, error handling, and integration patterns.
• Troubleshoot issues across distributed services and dependencies.
• Develop software for deployment across Azure, GCP, Alibaba Cloud, and Cognition environments.
• Contribute to a common platform codebase with provider-specific implementations.
• Apply abstraction and adapter patterns to minimize cloud-provider dependencies.
• Support software operating in Cognition edge/appliance environments with limited connectivity.
• Build platform components with mindful resource utilization.
• Develop and support services deployed in Kubernetes environments.
• Contribute to installation, configuration, upgrade, and lifecycle-management capabilities.
• Follow security requirements for regulated or air-gapped deployments.
