Job summary

Oldcastle, a CRH company, seeks a skilled technician to ensure maximum uptime of production molding machines by diagnosing quality variances from customer specs. The role focuses on molding machine diagnostics, process adjustments, and coordination with maintenance and material handlers to maintain production targets.

Candidate should have at least 5 years in plastics processing, familiarity with polymers/resins, and strong problem-solving skills to optimize equipment and yield consistent

Qualifications

• Experience with mold changes, hydraulics, electrical and materials like polymers/resins.
• Understanding of processes for plastics processing and injection molding machinery.
• Familiarity with Decoupled Molding and open/closed loop controls.

Responsibilities

• Initiates molding machines and ensures functionality to meet production targets.
• Troubleshoots machine malfunctions and adjusts processes for efficiency.
• Records malfunctions and adjustments; communicates raw material changes.
• Notifies maintenance for electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic issues and orders parts as needed.
• Assists with operator assignments and provides guidance on cycle times and multi-machine operation.
