Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure is seeking a skilled molding technician to maximize uptime of production molding machines by diagnosing quality issues and addressing variations from customer specifications. You will start and monitor molding operations, troubleshoot machine malfunctions, coordinate material adjustments, and communicate with maintenance to ensure on-time production.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in plastics processing.
• Experience with mold changes, hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Understanding of polymers and resins used in molding.
• Familiarity with Decoupled Molding and process controls.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Initiates molding machines and ensures proper functionality to meet production targets.
• Troubleshoots mold malfunctions and bottlenecks with material/process adjustments.
• Records machine issues and adjustments for quality control.
• Coordinates raw material adjustments with material handlers.
• Performs test runs to verify changes align with quality standards.
• Changes machine inserts per customer specs and maintenance guidance.
• Notifies maintenance of electrical/hydraulic issues requiring fixes.
• Assists shift supervision in operator assignments and cycle time guidance.
• Supports material handlers with troubleshooting and issue resolution.
