Job summary

Owens Corning in Newark, OH seeks a Senior Safety Lead to direct the development, implementation, and evaluation of safety programs on the plant floor, coaching employees and front-line leaders daily. As a key member of the site leadership team, you will align site goals with corporate safety objectives, lead injury prevention initiatives, and drive a world-class safety culture through training and cross-functional collaboration.

This role requires hands-on leadership and travel 5–10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EH&S or related field is required.
• Professional certification (GSP, CSP or CMSE) is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of safety leadership experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Assess site safety controls and develop a strategic vision and tactical plan.
• Coach and develop plant personnel to grow Extraordinary Leaders in safety.
• Implement training programs and reinforce safety standards.
• Lead site safety initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and incident investigations are thorough.
• Drive ergonomics initiatives to reduce MSDs.
