Job summary

Saint-Gobain Group in Worcester, MA is seeking an onsite Plant Procurement Lead to drive procurement practices across NA Designated Abrasives sites. You will deploy KPI reports, standardize processes, and ensure alignment with production plans while improving team productivity.

You will lead risk assessment, supplier performance, and capacity planning, working across supply chain, operations, and purchasing management. A strong focus on safety and cost control is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in business or related discipline preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in production/manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership of procurement teams and change management.
• Strong SAP and MS Office skills; experience in supplier management.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant procurement processes for Designated Abrasives sites in North America.
• Deploy procurement best practices, KPI dashboards, and training across buyers.
• Identify and mitigate supply risks 6–9 months ahead; cross-functional communication.
• Manage supplier transitions and ensure on-time delivery per lead times.
• Coordinate with suppliers to maximize capacity and align monthly production plans.
• Monitor stock, safety levels, and SAP parameters; recommend level changes.
• Pilot solutions and automate processes once validated by stakeholders.
• Uphold safety rules to achieve zero accidents and review budgets and commitments.
