Job summary

ONEOK, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Plant Operator to support operation and maintenance of natural gas gathering and processing facilities. You will monitor and operate critical plant equipment with minimal supervision, ensuring safe and reliable performance across systems.

This senior-operator role emphasizes hands-on work with compressors, engines, pumps, and control systems, plus mentoring of less experienced staff and strong attention to safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience with and thorough knowledge of compressor station, storage field, gathering field, and/or processing plant operations.
• Experience and training pertaining to gas and liquid processing fundamentals and safe handling of high-pressure systems.
• Experience reading drawings, logs, gauges, and manuals; maintaining logs and safety/environmental records.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain processing plant equipment including compressors, motors, engines, pumps, turbines, and control systems.
• Monitor and control pressures, temperatures, flow rates, and reflux.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance including permitting, lockout/tagout, and decommissioning.
• Assist mechanics in repairs and perform equipment startups/shutdowns.
• Provide training to less experienced operators and report safety/environmental concerns.
• Maintain records, time sheets, logs, and maintenance/repair documentation.
