Job summary

ONEOK is seeking a skilled operations technician to perform advanced maintenance and operating activities at oil and gas processing facilities. The role involves supervising and supporting maintenance tasks with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will monitor and control plant equipment, participate in start/stop operations, and assist with repairs while maintaining thorough records and logs. Extensive field exposure and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with compressor stations, processing plants, and related equipment.
• Knowledge of gas and liquid processing fundamentals and applicable operating practices.
• Ability to read drawings, logs, gauges, procedures, and manuals.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain processing plant equipment including compressors, motors, engines, pumps and control systems.
• Monitor pressures, temperatures, flow rates and reflux rates; start/stop equipment as needed.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance: permitting, lockout/tagout, decommissioning.
• Assist mechanics with repairs and calibrations on critical equipment.
• Provide training to less experienced operators and report safety/environmental concerns.
• Maintain time sheets, work logs, safety forms and equipment records.
