Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a Sr. Production Manager for an eastern IA plant. The role directs plant operations and collaborates with senior leadership to maintain quality and productivity.

You will assist in managing budgets, monitor manufacturing and lab quality control, liaise with customers, and drive productivity improvements while ensuring safety programs are followed. Local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a midlevel management position in an industrial or manufacturing plant setting.
• Good mechanical and administration skills.
• Ability to lead; can give and take direction.
• Ability to deal with minor problems involving equipment or various situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overall operation of the plant; assumes responsibility for major area of operation when necessary due to absence of General Manager, Plant Manager, or Fleet Manager.
• Assists in the development of the annual budget.
• Monitors and directs plant operations and lab analysis for quality control; takes necessary action to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintains professional liaison with customers; resolves customer issues or concerns.
• Looks for opportunities to increase productivity efficiently and economically.
• Under the direction of the General Manager, may be responsible for obtaining certifications necessary to the operation and implementation of such projects as Bio-security, HACCP, and is primary contact for the Company's Safety Program.
